I'm in LOVE with this book, so I came up with an idea to incorporate it into the first day of school. It's the perfect get to know you book. If you are like me, that beginning of the school budget is getting tight, so I'm including two videos that you could show in place of reading the book. If you can't show YouTube at school, click the cover of the book and watch the video from Amazon. When the budget allows, you will want to grab a copy of this book because it is so cute. You could also use it to teach memoirs. The voice of Marcel is Jenny Slate a Saturday Night Live alum. After you read the book or show the video, let students write about themselves using the printable. Click on the picture for your free copy. Enjoy!
